Founded in 2005, Planet Limited is a New Zealand company and a completely self funded, wholly independent product factory and project foundry for the world as it is.

That means we build products that are relevant in places where they could serve a community best. We work by client referral only over a wide range of sectors and have developed deep experience in emerging markets. We work well in highly complex, deeply regulated, socially unstable and difficult environmental conditions.

Though we still undertake some commissions, these days we are interested in being our own client.

With emerging markets we include developmental, hidden, shadow and informal economies. We like working on the ground and have a keen interest in the first mile and last mile where needs and demands are greatest.

Emerging markets are where the vast majority of humanity live, work and play. They are the engines driving a vast amount of change in the world. As the powerful becomes the past and new becomes the powerful, whatever future anyone dreams of it will need to provision for these vibrant, dynamic and growing markets.
